About Nicholas Skinner, Freelance Web Developer
I am a 24 year old website and web application developer based in London, UK with 4+ years of experience developing both static and dynamic websites, and web applications.
I have had an interest in technology, and computers from a young age, starting programming GW-BASIC on an Olivetti 486, then later moving onto QBASIC, Visual Basic, Perl, and HTML / PHP / JavaScript where I now spend most of my time.
Sites
Along with developing websites for clients I also have a number of my own projects including:
- TModSoft - Providing a range of Python software (RS232 Gateway, GPIO Remote Control/Monitoring etc) for the Telit family of embedded hardware modules, allong with custom development services.
- Parallel Track - Providing vehicle location and tracking services.
- SMS Printer - A small, portable, standalone product suitable for restaurants, taxis, delivery drivers and more to quickly and easily receive SMS text messages.
- Talk59 - Offering international fixed cost calls up to 59 minutes (Talk59 has now been discontinued due to BT no longer offering their Web21C SDK service).
- Takeaways Direct - A fully featured, themable restaurant and takeaway ordering application currently available for purchase supporting sending orders through to restaurants via either SMS Printers or telephone (using CDYNE Phone Notify).
